Description
Permacolour’s new Surface Retarder is a concentrated combination of chemicals that produces decorative and non-slip finishes. This product will last longer in the heat while still being easy to remove. The product will retard the top surface layer to the depth of between 3mm and 8mm while the underlayer sets. Once the concrete has cured which roughly takes 24 hours in hot weather condition and 30 hours in cooler conditions, at this time the coating will be easily removable by either water blasting or brushing. It is important to ensure that the retarder is washed off in this time period as it can result in the product completely hardening and renders the retarder useless. Our new product is able to last longer in hot temperatures
These retarders come in three forms.
1. SR20- Maximum strength of concrete – 20 MPA.
2. SR25+ – For concrete strength 25 MPA and over.
3. SR25 ULTRA – For concrete strength 25 MPA and over, Hotter weather conditions.
4. SR20 ULTRA – For concrete strength 20 MPA and hotter weather.
USES
Our Surface Retarder is used to expose aggregate, it can also be used to form a mechanical key to improve the key of new concrete to old concrete.
**As a general rule, the depth of etch shouldn’t be greater than one-third of the mean diameter of the aggregate.
IMPORTANT NOTES
* Recommended for horizontal surface.
* SR25 Ultra are supplied ready-to-use.
* No need for any mixing and MUST NOT BE DILUTED.
* If a high powered water blaster is being used, take particular care as not to leave the nozzle aimed in one particular spot for a long time.
* Do not leave treated surface longer than the specified time as the concrete surface will harden and render the retarder useless.
* Ensure to always wash out spraying equipment with warm water.</p>
