Victoria on the river – Hamilton
Permacolour is proud to be associated with the Victoria on the River project in Hamilton which opened to the public at the beginning of February 2018.
This project presented a fresh opportunity to create meaningful visual and physical connections with one of Hamilton’s best natural assets. The design seeks to establish a park that serves as a destination where people can pause, interact and enjoy river views. This new public space is a terraced recreation space that connects the city with the Waikato river, Providing a place to relax with friends or co-workers or for a lunch break with a view.
The area was once a run down carpark building with a drop off to an eroded bank. The Mayor saw potential in this space. Edwards White Architects took on the design and together with Aecom an extremely substantial and elaborate plan was put out for Tender.
Auckland based AECOM architects specified a Rocksalt finish in 4% dosed black concrete and sealed with Permacolour concrete sealer.
Our thanks to Schicks Civil Construction, the main contractor. Also to Terraform the concrete placer for doing this 900 sqm finish justice.
Yep and thanks to Top Class concrete Treatments for Acid washing and sealing this project
